The tour
A wine tour designed for and by you.
Your Cuvée tour has no set route. It’s a private day built around your group: where you’re staying, what you like to drink and how you want the afternoon to feel.

A typical day
How your day unfolds.
The average tour is three winery visits and a lunch stop. That’s the shape; the details are yours.
-
Pickup
Pickup where you’re staying
We pick you up at your hotel, Airbnb or wherever you’d like to start, anywhere in the Sonoma or Napa Valley region. San Francisco pickups are available for an extra travel fee. Bottled water is on board.
-
Winery one
Your first tasting
Most winery experiences run 70 to 90 minutes. All of the wines in the region are good or great, so John chooses each stop for the people and the property, the things that make a visit memorable.
-
Lunch
Lunch, already figured out
Not many wineries offer food, and most don’t permit outside food. John plans the stop for you: an elevated wine-and-food pairing spot, or one of the wineries that welcome a picnic lunch.

Wineries two and three
Two more wineries, never rushed
Three wineries and lunch make a full, relaxed day with time to ask questions. One guest put it this way: “We learned a lot we didn’t know about California climate and geography, and how they affect winemaking.”
-
Home
A ride back to your door
Nobody in your group has to be the designated driver. We drive you home, and the day ends the way it started: easy.
Your day, your way
Stop anywhere. Go anywhere.
A private tour bends to your group. Want a photo at the perfect spot, a winery you’ve always meant to visit or a walk under the redwoods between tastings? Ask. John knows the region and is glad to make it part of the day.
“John would suggest great picture spots, stop anywhere and go anywhere. He encouraged our fun and even added to it.”

What to expect before you go.
Tasting fees
Fees run from $25 to $250 per winery, depending on the experience, and aren’t included in your tour. Our partner wineries offer Cuvée guests complimentary or discounted tastings, and some wineries waive the fee with a minimum purchase or when you join the wine club.
Reservations
John makes the winery appointments for you. A credit card is needed to secure them.
Groups and celebrations
Lincoln SUVs seat up to 6 and Mercedes Sprinters seat 8 or 11. Guests have booked everything from a tour for four to a surprise birthday party for ten.
Where we go
Sonoma County and Napa Valley, from Russian River tasting rooms to Napa’s exclusive wineries, including small, off-the-beaten-track rooms you’d be unlikely to find on your own.
